GreCon PROTECTOR: Innovative hardware and software design with functional safety
Fagus-Grecon’s in-depth expertise in the field of fire protection and MESCO’s innovative technology services made it possible to develop the GreCon Protector, the innovative, highly integrated fire protection system with functional safety, PROFINET communication and possible use in hazardous areas.
iF Design Award 2025 in gold
The overall system includes numerous highlights in hardware and software development, including an intelligent system architecture, secure communication with PROFINET and PROFIsafe on a single-pair Ethernet basis, as well as redundant safety hardware and software architecture. The GreCon PROTECTOR was awarded the iF Gold Award 2025 by the jury of the iF Design Awards.
During the collaboration, MESCO developed the safety-related hardware and software, using the MESCO Safety Design Packages and modules. Fagus-GreCon realized the complete non-safety-related software.
