MESCO continues to expand its industrial communication competencies in the USA. MESCO Engineering, Inc. has been accredited by PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International) as a PROFINET Competence Center (PICC). As such, MESCO can now offer customers from North America direct on-site technical expertise and support for software and hardware development of industrial Ethernet assemblies with PROFINET
PROFINET IO is a standard adopted by PI for the communication of I/O controllers and I/O devices. The technology is based on Ethernet as the communication medium and is used to transmit I/O data, parameters, alarms, etc.
In addition to software and hardware development of industrial Ethernet modules with PROFINET RT and IRT, the range of services offered by MESCO Engineering, Inc. also includes Ethernet solutions to support multiple Industrial Ethernet dialects and device tests in its own Fieldbus Laboratory Competence Center. Due to the experience with different stacks and hardware solutions, the service can be individually adapted to customer requirements. Another focus is on consulting and electronics development for the area of functional safety, or PROFIsafe.
In Germany, MESCO has been a PI Competence Center for more than 20 years and provides its customers with full support from consulting, through the specifications for the implementation of Ethernet hardware with PROFINET software, to supervision of certification.
