The goal of the Japanese designers was to miniaturize the valve. This means that the installation space for the electronics is also correspondingly small. The technical challenge was therefore to develop correspondingly clever algorithms that enable measurement despite this compactness.
Other major advantages: The plant now no longer has to be stopped to test the functionality of the valve. In addition, testing the valves during operation avoids a sudden complete shutdown.
