More than 25 participants had a chance to learn more about Functional Safety in industrial automation. Peter Bernhardt – Head of Marketing and Sales at MESCO – provided detailed insights into the standards and guidelines for different SIL levels in factory and process automation. He also elaborated on procedures in project planning and possibilities for product development.
In the afternoon Renesas presented a report on the relevant MCU product families for industrial applications, in combination with safety requirements. The seminar was concluded with hints and tips on various software solutions, e.g. the Self-test Library, and the outlook on upcoming safety-related solutions.
The participants experienced Renesas as a competent provider of micro-controller and software solutions. They learned once again that MESCO is the partner of choice for expert advice, specific safety consulting and most diverse developments in the field of hardware and software. The combination of the two companies and their know-how yields outstanding synergies for customers.
