The introduction to functional safety

Tuesday, 31. July 2018

The demand for functionally safe products for factory and production automation is growing continuously. This also increases the requirements for component manufacturers. The standards to be observed, such as IEC 61508, IEC 62061, IEC 61511 and ISO 13849 or EN 61800-5-2 are particularly challenging for beginners. The standards influence the technical requirements for the product as well as the development process and the quality management system of the company. The standards therefore result in extensive measures to avoid systematic errors that are applied in the different phases of the product life cycle.

In our whitepaper we provide a practical introduction to the topic.
