The use of industrial 3D printing offers the possibility of creating complex, functional geometries to support fast and agile hardware development, with a high degree of design freedom and other advantages. Above all, 3D printing enables the production of small batch sizes at economical unit costs.

3D printing can significantly support agile hardware development for very complex, customer-specific requirements.

A printed mockup of PCBs (Printed circuit boards) for example enables a detailed optimization of the hardware very early in the development process.

Ethernet-APL & OPC Foundation cooperate

The cooperation between the OPC Foundation and the Ethernet-APL consortium will enable Ethernet-APL / OPC UA interfaces in the future. MESCO follows this trend and is expanding the Ethernet APL service accordingly: PROFINET / OPC-UA / MQTT communication can be implemented in field devices.
