MESCO presents version 7.7 of its HART® Slave Stacks

MESCO has launched a new version of its portable protocol software for HART field devices (HART: Highway Addressable Remote Transducer). HART Slave Stack 7.7 offers a quick and easy solution for implementing device communication that fully corresponds to the HART fieldbus system. A detailed documented interface for API (Application Programming Interface) makes integration and porting even easier. The pre-certified software shortens development times considerably.

The main advantages

  • The framework contains 57 additional common practice commands and fulfils the new test specifications for the HART protocol.

  • Together with the structured Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), the programming interface, which is documented in detail, ensures easy integration and portability.

  • The MESCO slave stack already fully complies with the new HART protocol test specifications of the FieldComm Group from June 2017.

MESCO supports its customers in the development and certification of devices. In addition, we have many years of experience in hardware development, for example for physical layers.

Ethernet-APL & OPC Foundation cooperate

The cooperation between the OPC Foundation and the Ethernet-APL consortium will enable Ethernet-APL / OPC UA interfaces in the future. MESCO follows this trend and is expanding the Ethernet APL service accordingly: PROFINET / OPC-UA / MQTT communication can be implemented in field devices.
