Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x) – Functional Safety

Your main focus areas

• Development of embedded software for safety-critical applications (IEC 61508)
• Carrying out requirements analyses
• Definition of architecture and design; Creation of specifications
• Taking over the responsibility for the accompanying documentation
• Supporting the creation of certification-related documents
• Creating test specifications
• Implementation of test drivers and unit tests
• Conducting code reviews, integration and verification tests as well as doing troubleshooting and maintenance of the released products

Your profile 

• Degree (Bachelor, Diploma, Master) in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience in the development of software for embedded systems
• Experience with real-time operating systems is highly desirable
• Automation technology knowledge is an advantage
• Competence in firmware development processes
• Expertise in Functional safety according to IEC 61508, ISO 13849, IEC 62061
• Programming languages C, C ++; Modeling language UML
• Embedded platforms, firmware engineering (V-model)
• Network knowledge (e.g. Ethernet, TCP / IP, etc.), is highly desirable
• Fieldbus-standards knowledge (e.g. PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CAN, Ethernet etc.) is highly desirable
• Very good written/oral communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to travel – occasional (inter)national business trips
